Varuous media reports this weekend about a very green-tech looking new supermarket planned by Sainsbury for Crayford in Kent.
It collects rainwater, it uses LCD lights which are lower on power use, it will use CO2 for refrigeration, and – coolest of all – use geothermal heating.
The store will be one of the largest supermarkets in the UK – it’s a big move by Sainsbury who look to be taking the eco-lead from their competitors – one can only wonder what green futuristic retail spaces will become the norm in the future.
